Privacy Policy

Apollo's Anvil is a one-person laser engraving studio in Buffalo, New York. This policy explains what information we collect when you use apollosanvil.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to make and ship your piece.

What we collect

• When you buy something: your name, email address, shipping address, and the pieces you ordered. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number.
• When you request a custom piece: the details you type into the quote form, such as your name, email, phone number (optional), your idea, reference links, timeline, and budget.
• Your cart: the pieces in your cart are saved in your own browser so they are still there when you come back. They are not sent to us until you check out.
• Basic site analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.

How we use it

• To make, pack, and ship your order, and to contact you about it.
• To reply to your custom request with questions, a design plan, and a quote.
• To keep records we are required to keep, such as sales and tax records.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Services that help us run the site

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• Stripe processes payments and shares your order and shipping details with us.
• Resend delivers custom request emails to our inbox.
• OpenAI receives the description of your custom idea so we can create a rough concept sketch for our own reference while preparing your quote.
• Vercel hosts the website and provides the anonymous analytics described above.
• USPS receives your name and shipping address to deliver your order.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for shipping, customer service, and our tax and accounting obligations. Custom request emails are kept while we work on your quote and for a reasonable time afterward in case you come back to the idea.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we are required to keep it. Email tom@apollosanvil.com and we will take care of it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
